Hey all, lecture 9 is up now (if you haven’t already checked out the YouTube channel. I’m still working out exactly what happened with my video software but we should be good to go next week. Here’s a link to the YouTube playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA442260A8FC85E5F&feature=view_all
Thanks for sticking to it and getting lesson 9 up this week. <3
Loves it, thanks! Are you going to be formatting the new lectures on the site like the old ones?
K.K. You have inspired me. It shall be done
Thanks so much for making these available! They’re fantastic!
Not to be too demanding or anything, but I find it much easier to simply listen to the lectures (much like I listen to audiobooks and the Writing Excuses podcast), and it doesn’t seem like I’m missing much visually since I can’t read the whiteboard anyway. Do you think you might be able to make these available as an audio-only podcast?
This is high on my priority list for the time I have to work on this project, so thanks for the reminder. Question though: What would be your preferred way of accessing the podcast? What do you think other podcast users preferred way would be? ITunes? Just a downloadable link on this website?
Just FYI. If you use a downloader, like http://jdownloader.org/ you can copy/import each Youtube link to save the videos in a number of formats from mp4 to mp3. The mp3s are what I’ve been grabbing and doing just as you say, listening on commutes or out walking the dog
This method may not be as easy as grabbing them from iTunes, but Youtube already has them up as mp3 and jdownloader can grab them. Simply copy the link for each video you want the audio from, delete any extra formats you don’t want, then press download and in a few minutes you’ll have all of those lectures as mp3s.
Sweet! I’ve been doing it a much longer way. Thanks!!
A link is all I’d need. I use Google Listen on my android phone for podcasts.
There is also an easy way you can embed google’s audio player to work with your mp3s so you can even put that on your site (along with download option). Bear in mind, though, that it will take up your bandwidth if you host your files directly.
Here’s the how-to: http://www.quickonlinetips.com/archives/2011/04/google-audio-player-to-embed-mp3-audio-files/
This looks exceedingly promising. Thanks for the tip Marko!
The youtube playlist on this one was fantastic! Made it so much easier! Thanks!
